FAQ

  • What types of pianos do you service?

We service all acoustic and hybrid-acoustic pianos. Fully digital keyboards or pianos without strings aren’t tunable in the traditional sense.

  • What areas do you cover?

Rich Pianos services pianos across the entire Phoenix metropolitan area—from Surprise to Queen Creek. Because this covers a large area, travel times can be significant. I appreciate your understanding if arrival times vary by 15–30 minutes from the scheduled appointment. For homes outside or on the edge of the metro area, please contact us to discuss availability and travel arrangements.

  • How long does a typical service take?

Depending on the service and state of the piano, it typically takes between one and three hours—some services require multiple visits to ensure quality results.

  • Do you service digital pianos, synthesizers, or MIDI keyboards?

We cannot tune digital pianos or keyboards, but cleaning is available. For most cases, the upright piano deep clean service is the right choice.

  • Do you travel to my location?

Yes. Please include your address when scheduling an appointment.

  • Can I book multiple pianos in one visit?

  • What is your cancellation or rescheduling policy?

Please refer to the Cancellation Policy.

  • How far in advance should I schedule?

You may schedule an appointment up to 60 days in advance. For recurring visits and maintenance, please ask for details upon first service.

  • How often should I have my piano serviced?

    Short answer: every 6-12 months.

Long answer: recording studios may service a piano weekly while pianos in homes may be serviced every 6 months. Manufacturers recommend servicing a piano at least every 6-12 months to maintain quality and preserve piano lifetime.

  • Do you offer flat rates or hourly pricing?

Rich Pianos offers flat-rate pricing. This way, you know the price at the time of scheduling—no surprises, just results.

  • What payment methods do you accept?

Flexible online checkout has been curated to be smooth and hassle-free. You may pay with card, ApplePay, and other options applicable to you at checkout.

  • Are there extra fees for travel or multiple instruments?

No. Everything pertaining to your service is covered at the price you pay at checkout.

  • How should I prepare my piano before your visit?

Please clear the piano of any decorations and other items that may block access to and around it.

  • Can I do small repairs or tuning myself?

It is recommended to hire a professional for repairs and tuning. Pianos are beautiful, delicate instruments and require a careful hand and ear. For minor repairs, professional tuning, and premium deep-cleaning, Rich Pianos is available to help. Please refer to a specialist for large repairs.

  • Do you provide invoices or receipts?

Invoices or receipts are delivered via email upon scheduling. For multiple pianos and institutional services, please refer to the Multi-Piano & Institutional Policy for details.

  • Do you service institutions or businesses?

  • Can you handle vintage or unusual pianos?

Yes. We appreciate the unique character of each individual piano. Please add details when scheduling an appointment.

  • Do you sell piano accessories?

No, we do not offer physical products. However, a comprehensive guide to cleaning your piano will be available in early 2026!
